This is a very small time capsule compared to the others but I wanted to include it because it inspired the list. The 50 year old newspaper clipping above describes a silver-plated lead capsule containing 35-mm films. The capsule was placed in the Magnolia Boulevard Bridge in Burbank California when it was built in 1959 and was to be opened 50 years later. City officials didn’t know the capsule was due to be opened until a local historian came across the 1959 newspaper article a few weeks earlier....
